Yeah, people have been tweeting about Charice needing to do a Whitney Houston tribute since Jennifer Hudson's tribute at the Grammys. :)

BTW, I didn't recognize Monica. She's looks much older now from when I last saw her. She did great though.

This is the best Whitney Houston tribute done by an awards show by far. I thoroughly enjoyed Brandy's medley of Whitney's uptempo numbers. Although the BET Awards do honor and welcome non-Blacks for their contribution to Black visibility and culture, they're primarily a celebration of Black achievement in the entertainment industry, so an all-Black tribute to Whitney's musical legacy was apt. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a Charice participation in the VH1 Divas tribute to Whitney. I get chills every time I imagine our Charice giving a spellbinding performance of IWALY or Run to You (or any Whitney song, for that matter), possibly the only Asian there who can slay The Voice's songs like it's nobody's business. The best we could do to help make it happen is to tweet @VH1 and @VH1Divas.
