MANILA, Philippines - International singing sensation Charice held her Infinity Tour-Live in Seoul concert on March 21, the last leg of her tour.
It was her first concert in South Korea and Charice enthralled the audience with her powerful voice, belting out songs such as “One Day,” “New World,” “Before It Explodes,” “Pyramid,” “Tears in Heaven,” “Billy Jean,” and “I Will Always Love You.”
The concert was held at AX Korea in Seoul and one of the many people who attended the event was Hyerim, a member of K-pop group Wonder Girls.
During the concert, Charice also sang “Nobody,” the hit song by K-pop group Wonder Girls.
Hyerim was mesmerized by Charice’s talent and thanked the Filipina singer.
“Charice was amazing! & can't believe she sang "Nobody"! Thank u Charice!” Hyerim tweeted after the concert.
Before the show began, Hyerim posted that she couldn’t wait to hear Charice sing.
“I'm at Charice's concert! Can't wait!!! Love her songs!! :)” she wrote.
Charice’s Infinity Tour this year started in Dubai last March 2 and moved on to Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, Hong Kong and then South Korea.
It was her fourth visit to South Korea. In addition to the concert, Charice will be appearing again on Korean talent search TV show “Star King,” which opened the door for her international singing career.
On March 20, Charice attended a taping for the show.
“Here in Seoul! About to go and do Starking with [Charice]!” tweeted Troy Laureta, Charice’s musical director, on Tuesday together with a photo of him and Charice.
Charice first sang on “Star King” in 2007, where she performed “And I Am Telling You” and had a duet with Super Junior member Kyuhyun.
The video was uploaded on YouTube and caught the attention of talk show host Ellen Degeneres, who invited Charice to appear on her show. Charice performed on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in December 2007.
After her Seoul concert, Charice will be flying to Los Angeles to perform at the 34th birthday party and fundraising event of celebrity blogger Perez Hilton slated on March 24.
She will be performing along with the Backstreet Boys, Far East Movement, Kat Graham, Chris Rene, Taylor Dayne and Amber Riley.
On his blog, Perez Hilton praised Charice as having “one of the greatest voices of her generation!!!!!”
Perez Hilton said that at his request, Charice will be performing some of the hits of the late singer Whitney Houston.
