Charice once again surprised her fans after a picture of her sporting a shorter hair and wearing a very masculine outfit hits the web.

According to reports, the said picture was taken during a local campaign in Laguna. The latest photo circulating around showed Charice with extra pounds, looking more like his younger brother Carl.



With Charice's evolution from an international singer with long locks and full make up to what we have seen in her The X Factor Philippines stint as a judge and her latest picture from Japan, many are now speculating that Charice is a lesbian. However, the international singing sensation neither confirmed nor denied the speculations.

I am neither for or against her latest hairstyle. The hairstyle I like the most was the one she had back in 2008 when she first appeared on Oprah. It was shoulderlength. As for the bowtie, how come no one ever said anything when several times over the course of her career she has worn an ordinary men's necktie.

I for one do not believe that Charice is a lesbian despite her current appearance. As far as her clothes are concerned Charice has always preferred casual clothes, including jeans and slacks, over dresses and frilly women's clothing. Being 4'9", finding adult women's clothing is almost impossible. Rather than wear little girl's dresses like she did in StarKing 1 and 2, she wears readily available boy's clothing. It it likely that when she does wear formal women's dresses they are custom made or perhaps her mother makes them like she did when Charice was competing in singing contests as a child. However, no one made an issue of her clothing or her sexuality until she appeared in Manila as part of her Infinity Tour in March 2012 with her hair cut shorter and dyed blond. The Philippines has always been slow to change, especially in terms of women's hairstyles and fashions. In California where Charice has a second home, no one would give her a second look because of her appearance - Ditto for Japan where short hair by women is the norm. As long as I have been a fan of hers I have been under the impression that Charice is heterosexual. Oprah advised her not to date boys too early until she was older or in other words, career first, boys second. When asked by the media who her 'crush' was she'd
give a short list of men with Justin Timberlake always at the top of the list. She talked about how when she first met Justin Timberlake that she almost forgot the lyrics to the song she was to sing that night.

And then there was Sam Milby, Charice's filipino crush. When she appeared on the Ruffa and Ai tv show in 2009, Sam was a surprise guest via studio television. When she first heard and then saw Sam on tv addressing her, she began to blush and was visibly flustered.

When a tv show celebrated her 18th birthday it was Sam who presented her with 18 red roses.
I almost forgot about David Archuleta who hung out with Charice in LA but it turns out they were just close friends.
