Report: Charice to judge ABS-CBN's 'X Factor'

MANILA, Philippines -- International singing sensation Charice will be the only female judge in ABS-CBN's version of "X Factor."

This was confirmed by Charice's godfather, columnist Bum Tenorio, in his article "Meet The Chasters" published in the Philippine Star on March 4.

The Philippine version of "X Factor" will be hosted by actress-singer KC Concepcion, who has already been going around the country for the show's auditions.

Aside from being a judge in the reality talent search, Tenorio also hinted that Charice may do a film version of a hit Broadway musical.

On Monday, Charice wowed her fans as she performed in Singapore's Kallang Theatre as part of her "Infinity Tour."

Sporting a new look with short blonde hair, Charice wowed her Singaporean fans with her songs from ballads to rock tunes such as the Journey hit "Faithfully."

how long would this be? i hope she won't take long.. coz.. she still needs to promote her album here in the States.. she doesn't need this.. just my honest opinion..

i am sorry to say.. i don't think she is ready to be a judge on a reality show.. she should focus more on her singing and acting.. not being a judge..

US & UK X Factor is about 12 weeks, I think. And this is not just judging. This also involves mentoring. Basically, the contestants are divided into groups to be mentored by the judges. So a lot of hands-on-work with the contestants behind-the-scenes. So it's essentially a full-time job.
